DB2 10 for z/OS Documentation Updates

DB2 10 Update
The long-awaited DB2 Performance Topics Redbook is nearly ready! A draft is now available at https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/SG247942.html?Open&myns=swgimgmt&mynp=OCSSEPEK&mync=R  and anyone interested in learning more about the technical implementation of those lovely new DB2 10 features should take a look. The final version is expected to be available by 21st June.

Those of you still on version 8 and considering a skip migration to DB2 10 will no doubt be aware that end of support for version 8 is getting ever closer – you have until the end of April next year to get to DB2 10 Conversion Mode. If you fail to hit that deadline you’re going to have to run unsupported, or negotiate with IBM to put in place an extended support arrangement. Even if you’re going for a conventional upgrade via DB2 9, time is running out to get your upgrade project planned and in progress.  See more about DB2 10 migration.

Product Documentation
Some of the DB2 product manuals for versions 8, 9 and 10 have recently been refreshed. If you use downloaded versions of these manuals rather than looking online in the Information Center, you might want to pull down the latest versions.

The DB2 Manuals can be found at https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27019288#manuals
