Triton Consulting Launch SQL Server Practice
March 2nd, 2010

In an addition to their current DB2 services portfolio Triton Consulting are pleased to announce the official launch of their SQL Server Practice.

Triton Consulting have long been renowned in the industry as IBM Premier Business Partners with exceptional knowledge and skills in DB2 and database management.  In 2008, Triton Consulting became xkoto business partners and began offering their DB2 customers the GRIDSCALE continuous availability solution. GRIDSCALE is also available for SQL server and in Q3 2009 Triton expanded their skills base to include SQL Server.

"We have seen great interest in GRIDSCALE from the SQL Server community.  With its ability to provide continuous availability and disaster recovery GRIDSCALE for SQL Server is a great addition to our portfolio of offerings.  GRIDSCALE is the only Active:Active Database solution for SQL Server in the marketplace.  As an organisation we're hugely excited about working with our new SQL Server customers to help them reap the benefits of GRIDSCALE" Paul Stoker, Sales & Marketing Director, Triton Consulting.

GRIDSCALE enables businesses to scale application load horizontally across multiple, active/active instances of SQL Server running on clusters of low-cost hardware, mid-range systems and virtual machines.  Businesses can eliminate planned and unplanned database outages because all SQL Servers managed by GRIDSCALE are fully active.  GRIDSCALE supports databases in remote locations meaning organisations can meet disaster recovery requirements without the complexity of traditional transaction or storage replication or solutions.

The latest release, GRIDSCALE 5.1 for SQL Server adds several features including native driver support and a new Cluster Lock Manager which will enable an even broader set of IT applications to benefit from scalability on demand and continuous availability.

GRIDSCALE for SQL Server has been thoroughly tested in Microsoft's MTC Labs and in 2009 was named as a winner in the Best of Tech Ed 2009 awards programme in the database administration category - http://www.xkoto.com/news_events/press_releases/20090518.php
