DBA is sentenced to 12 months for hacking former employer network

According to an Information Week articl, a former database administrator for Houston's GEXA Energy was sentenced to 12 months in prison and fined $100,000 on Tuesday for hacking into his former employer's network in 2008. Official release.

This brings into sharp focus the realities of just what can happen if an aggreived employee decides to damage a company from the inside.  The Oracle DBA is estimated to have caused a loss of at least $100,000 according to GEXA Energy.
