Triton Experts to Speak at Top DB2 Events Across Europe
May 30th, 2013

Two of Triton Consulting's DB2 experts have been requested to speak at renowned industry events in the UK and Belgium.

The UK and Benelux DB2 User Group meetings are some of the best attended events in the DB2 calendar. Julian Stuhler and Iqbal Goralwalla were both awarded the title of IBM Champions earlier this year and have been asked to speak at the UK DB2 User Group and the DB2 Benelux User Groups respectively.

UK DB2 User Group
On 4th June 2013 Julian Stuhler will be speaking about Memory Management in DB2 10 for z/OS. His presentation will describe the major storage-related changes introduced by DB2 10 and will provide practical advice on what and how to monitor in a DB2 10 for z/OS environment.

The UK DB2 User Group is a working group of the UK GSE organisation and covers all aspects of DB2 on both the mainframe (z/OS) and Distributed (LUW) platforms.

Benelux DB2 User Group
Iqbal Goralwalla will be presenting in Brussels on 6th June 2013. He will be giving two talks, one on ‘DB2 10.5 with BLU Acceleration: First Impressions' and one entitled ‘DB2 10.1: Cool DB2 Stuff No One Else is Talking About'. Iqbal is one of the first non-IBM DB2 experts to work with DB2 10.5 and so has some fascinating insights into the new features and Big Data integration.

Chaired by Cristian Molaro and Jan Henderyckx, both independent consultants and recognised by IBM for their DB2 expertise, the Benelux DB2 group is a thriving DB2 community providing learning, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities to its members.

"We worked hard to organise an exceptional DB2 user group meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of DB2. We are very lucky to have been able to include some of the best speakers in our industry in our agenda, including Iqbal. We are glad that he accepted to join us and to share his knowledge and insight about DB2 10.5." Says Cristian Molaro, IBM Gold Consultant and IBM Champion for Data Management.

During the event attendees will celebrate the 30th anniversary of DB2 with educational and enlightened sessions about how it all started, how barriers were overcome and insights into future directions.
