IBM induct James Gill and Mark Gillis into the IBM Gold Consultants Program

Triton Consulting, experts in Hybrid Data Management and Digital Transformation, are proud to announce that IBM has invited two more of the Triton Consultancy team to be members of the IBM Gold Consultants program.

IBM confirmed that James Gill and Mark Gillis, Principal Consultants at Triton Consulting, have been inducted into the elite program. This increases the number of Triton’s IBM Gold Consultants to five, the total representation of the program in the UK.

IBM Gold Consultants are industry experts who demonstrate leadership and deep technical skills. They are independent consultants recognised in the IT industry as possessing superior technical expertise, product knowledge, vast industry expertise, market knowledge, and a strong digital presence.

James and Mark join Triton’s existing Gold Consultants, Julian Stuhler, Iqbal Goralwalla, and Gareth Copplestone-Jones. Triton dominates the program in the United Kingdom, with 100% of all of the Gold Consultants that are based here.

Mark Gillis says “Just before Christmas I was surprised to hear that I had been accepted as an IBM Gold Consultant. Surprised might be an understatement; I was slightly stunned. The Gold Consultants have a reputation for providing outstanding technical expertise, both to customers and to IBM itself, and I am very honoured to join these illustrious ranks. I look forward to being able to participate in the technical briefings that the program provides (hopefully in an actual face-to-face environment) and to be able to provide some feedback to the IBM experts on what their customers want and need.”

Mark is a dedicated member of the Triton team. He will be celebrating his 10th anniversary at Triton in 2022. Mark’s talent lies within Cloud migration and support, hybrid database enablement, and providing expertise in exploiting the features and functions of the latest versions of DB2

James Gill is a multi-talented database and operating systems consultant. He works with both DB2 for z/OS and DB2 for Midrange systems and has been at Triton for over 21 years. During this time his roles have varied from technical architecture, systems delivery, tools, software, and platform migration through to performance management and mainframe DevOps delivery.

Both James and Mark are an essential part of Triton’s journey and success.

Julian Stuhler, Director and Head of Solutions Delivery comments The IBM Gold Consultant program is made up of just under fifty DB2 experts from around the world who are dedicated to delivering best-in-class advice and consultancy. We are very proud that two more consultants from the Triton team have been welcomed as members.

“It’s a considerable achievement and demonstrates Triton’s commitment to assisting our clients with some of the world’s most demanding DB2 projects, while also providing candid feedback to help IBM to focus on both current and future customer challenges.

“Triton is now an employee-owned company and is a perfect place to work if you are eager to learn new technologies and take on new challenges. To say that my fellow Director Paul Stoker and I are extremely proud is an understatement. Huge congratulations James and Mark.”
